Mastering
The last step before release: coherence, level, a finish made for streaming and distribution.
A track is finished when it sounds right everywhere.
Mastering gives the track its definitive version: the one that sounds right on every platform, every system, and next to the other tracks in your playlist. Level, spectral balance, dynamics, and coherence across a project.
We master with platform loudness in mind, without chasing volume: a master that breathes ages better than a crushed one. On an EP or album, we also shape the sequence and the gaps between tracks.
A collaboration often starts with a mastering: one first track, clean foundations, and things build from there. Eve's first release went exactly that way.
Send the mix
You send the final mix as 24-bit WAV, with 3 to 6 dB of headroom and no limiter on the bus. We confirm reception and timeline.
Critical listening
We listen in detail. If something limits the master, we tell you before processing: sometimes a mix tweak beats a compensating master.
Processing
EQ, dynamics, stereo image, level. Processing that serves the track, checked on several systems.
Delivery
Masters in the formats you need: streaming WAV, DDP or vinyl if required, with metadata and ISRC codes if you provide them.
Do you offer online mastering?
Yes, most of our mastering happens remotely, with private listening links and direct exchanges with the person treating your track. Every master is done by hand, by the person who answers you.
How much headroom should I leave?
Between 3 and 6 dB of headroom, with no limiter or maximizer on the main bus. If your mix is already limited, also send a version without bus processing.
Do you master for vinyl?
Yes. Vinyl has constraints of its own (level, phase, sibilance, side length) and we prepare dedicated masters when your project goes to pressing.
How many revisions are included?
The quote states how many revision cycles are included. In practice, a well-framed master is almost always approved within one or two listens.
Tell us about your project.
We take on a limited number of projects each season, and we read every application.
