Mixing
Assembling the track: balance, space, dynamics. From a single to a full project, in the room or remotely.
A good mix puts the song in front of everything else.
Mixing is where every decision in the project meets: the takes, the arrangements, the intention. Our job is to give each element its place, weight and depth, so the track sounds inevitable.
We mix inside the project whenever possible: a mix informed by the artistic direction always goes further than a mix received by file transfer. We also take standalone mixes when the project is clear and the stems are clean.
Every mix is checked on several listening systems, from studio monitors to phone earbuds, and delivered with the versions you need (main, instrumental, a cappella when useful).
Listening and references
You send the demo or rough mix, your references, and what the track is trying to say. Together we frame the direction of the mix.
Stem preparation
We guide you through exporting clean stems, or we tidy the session with you. Good preparation is half the mix.
Mixing
Balance, space, dynamics, automation. The mix is built in passes, with listening points at each key stage.
Revisions and delivery
You listen, you comment, we adjust. Revision cycles are set in the quote, and the mix goes to mastering once it holds.
Do you mix remotely?
Yes. Most mixes happen remotely: you send the stems, we talk in writing or on a call, and listening happens through private links. In-person sessions remain possible in Angers, Brussels or Berlin.
What genres do you mix?
Jazz-pop, chanson, piano and voice, pop, house, techno and electronic music: our selected projects give a fair picture. What matters to us is the clarity of the project's intention.
What should I provide for a mix?
Stems exported from the start of the track, 24-bit WAV, with no processing on the main bus, plus a reference version and your notes. We send a simple checklist before the session.
How much does mixing cost?
Each project gets a tailored quote based on track count, session condition and timeline. Write to us with a listening link and we reply within ten working days.
Tell us about your project.
We take on a limited number of projects each season, and we read every application.
